Middle school Crews used maps and clues to search for a variety of sites that make Baltimore great. The adventure took them to the B&O Railroad Museum, the Irish Shrine, the Hippodrome, Edgar Allan Poe's gravesite, and Camden yards among others.
Mrs. Gordon-Toppin, along with Mr. Sliwinski and her crew of seven 7th grade girls completed the trek in less than 90 minutes on foot and correctly answered all of the questions. The sidewalks were slick with ice, but the team kept its balance and energy up taking pictures and answering the clues.
The other crews did a fantastic job as well as it brought out a lot of teamwork, communication, laughter and sportsmanship. Mrs. Gordon-Toppin's crew did not brag about the vicory, nor did the other crews complain that they did not win. There was no prize at the end anyway, just the satisfaction of completing a task with fellow classmates and staff.
GREAT WORK EVERYONE!!
