The Southwest Baltimore Charter School's Middle School students visited the Holocaust Memorial in Baltimore City to kick off their Humanities Expedition.

We have begun working with Ms. Harris' 8th grade girls crew.

Ms. Maria Broom came to our crew on Friday the 20th of May to help us to meet our love and belonging and fun needs.

On Wednesday May 18th the entire middle grades at SBCS traveled to Harpers Ferry, WV.

Students in Mr. Dave's science classes have been studying rockets this trimester.

Once upon a midnight dreary...Edgar Allan Poe came to visit SBCS! 

The 7th grade girls of SBCS are working on finalizing their scripts based on their study of Romeo and Juliet.

Due to the amazing attendance at our most recent Family computing workshop, over 1/3 of middle school families will now have a L@TCH computer in their home!

Middle school Crews used maps and clues to search for a variety of sites that make Baltimore great.  The adventure took them to the B&O Railroad Museum, the Irish Shrine, the Hippodrome, Edgar Allan Poe's gravesite, and Camden yards among others.

At the culmination of our very first Middle School Summer camp, we had a drumming circle of over 50 students and staff.  Through this collaborative effort, the circle was able to create a beautiful rythms with a healthy mix of drums, maracas, chimes, cymbals, and a whole bunch of other percussion instruments.  Check out the photo gallery of this incredible event.
