Special Education

We are excited to have one of the few elementary PAL Programs (Program for Students with Autistic-Like Behavior) in Baltimore City Public School System at our school.

Our students are part of our community and participate in many programs offered in our school. The educational program is consistent with Expeditionary Learning while still providing our students the supports and modifications they need in order to learn and become productive community members in our school and local community.

In our classroom, we have been studying a variety of lifecycles.

B & O Railroad

This spring, our PAL program visited the legendary B & O Railroad Museum to explore a great piece of our local Baltimore history.

Special Olympics Spring Sports

SBCS is proud to announce our scholars placed 1st, 4th, and 6th place in their sporting events at Coppin State University this spring.
