BICO Goes Camping

The BICO Club went camping at Patapsco Valley State Park on May 17th. Sixteen youth and four adults spent over 20 hours straight out in nature! Everyone gained experience around how to pitch a tent to stay dry and clean. Also, participants deepened their understanding of how to start a campfire and make the perfect s’more – depending on personal preferences. Youth already had a lot of food prep and cooking knowledge from previous outings, but Saturday morning’s breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, and strawberries was their best yet! Saturday morning the weather was delightful and everyone went for a hike. It was an adventure full of joy. Quote:
Mom - "I asked my scholar if he missed his cell phone on the camping trip. He said, No at all - there was so much to do"
