On Saturday September 15th the SBCS BICO club went hiking and swimming at Gunpowder State Park. Since this was the first outing of the year a significant amount of time was devoted to basic hiking and safety skills such as learning what trail Blazes mean, understanding the importance of the Buddy System, and, what the roles of a Point person and Sweeper are on outings.
7th grade students are transitioning nicely. They are really beginning to get the hang of annotating challenging text.
After a summer of hard work and lots of dust, our auditorium renovation is complete!

On Friday June 8th the SBCS BICO club spent the night camping on a farm in Davidsonville. Of course everyone worked on learning the details of traditional camping skills such as pitching a tent, collecting firewood, making a fire, roasting marshmallows, and cooking pancakes.
Kindergarten, first and second grade had lots of fun during Elementary Fun Day
Third grade spent the day at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center on the Eastern Shore.
