Fun was had by all at our End of Year Celebration!

The SBCS BICO Bike Sale took 68 bicycles out of the refuse stream, repaired them as needed, and put them into the hands of West Baltimore residents at a fraction of retail prices. Enough funds were raised to fund one BICO club for six months!
Earning the title of "Trail Guide" at SBCS is the highest honor a scholar can receive. Trail Guides are exemplars of the Habits of Scholarship, those who consistently exceed expectations for Responsibility, Integrity, Empathy, Autonomy, Quality Work, and Perseverance. In 2018-2019 six scholars earned this honor.
2nd Grade went to the Piedmont Learning Center to investigate more about bees, pollinators, and native/invasive plants which they have been studying in expedition.
On Friday May 31st, SBCS 7th grade girls went on an outing to the Loch Raven reservoir. The participants made goals for the outing which included: to learn/improve canoeing skills, build stronger bonds within the group, and have a fun experience in nature. To reach goal #1 adult volunteers teamed up with each 7th grader to work one-on-one on canoeing technique.

8th graders enjoyed nature and celebrated the completion of middle school at Sandy Point.
Sixth grade students spent a week at NorthBay, stepping outside of their comfort zones and deepening their crew bonds.
