Initiatives are one tool we use at SBCS to help classrooms grow into being a crew. In Fitness & Adventure class 3rd grade students investigated volleying - or keeping an object in the air. We play lots games and activities in the gym to grow skills and knowledge about volleying.
The BICO Club spent the day at Middle Branch Park learning more about how to canoe. Participants learned how to adjust a life-jacket, find the right size paddle, and enter and exit a boat safely. In addition, youth spent over 3.5 hours on the water in canoes honing their paddling skills.
