We will have live meetings each day, with live Crew meetings twice a week and live office hours sessions twice a week. Students MUST attend a minimum of two live sessions per week, but hopefully they will attend more than that!
The first three days of the week will be for reading and math assignments and work, Thursdays are a cultural arts and work flex time day, and Fridays are for science. All assignments and resources can be accessed at your convenience; there is no set time students must log on to complete this work, as long as they do it within the schedule below.
Crew will be for thirty minutes twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. One is on Mondays from 1:00 PM-1:30 PM and the other is on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM-10:30 AM. We will use Google Meet to schedule these events. To find them, go to Google Classroom, then in the upper right corner, click the array of dots to find the calendar. You will see the Google Meet links to get into the meetings at the scheduled time.
We will offer office hours for one hour each twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. This will also be through Google Meet, which you can again access through the Google Calendar linked to the Google Classroom. Tuesday’s office hours will be from 10:00-11:00 AM. Fridays office hours will be from 12:30 PM-1:30 PM.
Monday through Wednesday, literacy and math instructional videos and/or assignments will be posted with the expectation that they will be due at the end-of-day Thursday. Thursdays are reserved for flex time for working, cultural arts challenges and assignments, and IEP or other meetings scheduled in advance with the team. Fridays are for science. Different science resources and assignments will be posted on Fridays, and that work will be due at the end-of-day Sunday.
Each student has been invited to Google Classrooms via emails sent to each student in third grade. Ms. Rachel's classroom is the Golden Kids and Mr. Rodrigo's classroom is the Spy Kids.
